TRANSFORMATION OF BASIC VALUES YOUNG PEOPLE

OF THE REPABLIC OF BELARUS: SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Key words – basic values, youth, transformation, axiology, the dynamics of value orientations of youth.

The purpose of research – theoretical and methodological understanding and analyzing the changes of the basic values of the Belarusian young people.

The basic methods of research – system and process approaches to the analysis of values; scientific principles (dialectics, objectivity, historical methods) and methods of statistic, logical analysis, method of scientific description; method of scientific generalization; structural-functional method. 

The received results and their scientific novelty – the existing theoretical interpretations of «value» were systematized; the features of a sociological study of values were investigated; the main trends in the basic values of the Belarusian youth are given; the theoretical model of values of a modern young people of Belarus were created.

Recommendations of practical use of the received results. The results of dissertation research may be used in development of legislation measures to improve youth policy of Belarus. The data of sociological research can be used as a methodological basis for sociological investigation of issues of Belarusian youth. Theoretical results of the research can be used in preparing lecture compilation devoted for a course «Sociology of youth».
